I finally received a copy of the record of GSR's that are listed on the Fellowship Connection Database from the Area Registrar. There were a number of corrections that had not been updated. I made 6 changes and additions mostly updating to correct/current GSRs. Kari H will be taking on Registrar duties and I will be working with her on the transition over the next couple of months.
Thanks, Mike A.

A couple of minor additions/edits (adresse corrections) were made to the Fellowship Connection Database; this is the official AREA/GSO database. I did receive the official Status Report from the Fellowship Connection Database that I have been waiting to receive for some time. I made a summary spreadsheet that I will pass out at the November business meeting. We have 29 Active groups, 20 Inactive groups (no longer meeting), 3 groups listed as Incomplete (missing information) , 4 listed as Unknown (active during Covid but not known if they are still active), 5 listed as Merged. Six meetings are listed on our schedule but are not listed as official groups with GSO; these are meetings--not groups.
I attended the October Area Registrar meeting and got a couple of questions answered. Note: I found it interesting that none of the other Registrars at the meeting also do schedules! The consensus was that schedules were done by the district secretaries or by the district web person.

I have registered two new GSRs: Tim T with Oak Harbor Group and Sophie L with Orcas Island Group. I am still trying to get a copy from the Area Registrar of the Area/GSO meeting list and our GSRs. This is just to check on the accuracy of our own (my) records with the Area/GSO. I will again be reaching out to the Area Registrar for this information.
Thank you,

D46 Registrar Report August
Not much to report this month other than I received an email from the District 14 Registrar (West Seattle, Vashon, and White Center). They show a meeting on their list called SOUTH WHIDBEY VETERANS GROUP (#75868) and are asking if we know anything about this group. I told her that I would check this out at our August Business meeting. While investigating this I also found a meeting called SOUTH WHIDBEY NOON GROUP listed in District 19. Very weird; hopefully this can be cleared up by our South Whidbey GSRs!
I also reached out to the No Reservations meeting contact person to see if they are a registered group or "just" a meeting (we have a number of meetings that are not officially registered); we are now listing their monthly meeting on our printed schedule. I recently noted that they are also listed on the printed schedules for Skagit County AA meetings. I did get a response that they are not affiliated with any districts, they are just a meeting.
THE FOLLOWING MIGHT ME BETTER TO INCLUDE UNDER MY SCHEDULES REPORT, OR CAN BE NOTED ON BOTH REPORTS:
BY THE WAY: I recently picked up a meeting schedule entitled: "SKAGIT COUNTY ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS MEETINGS"; these are really the District 4 meetings and do NOT of course list any Fidalgo meetings, even though Fidalgo is in Skagit County. It does not indicate anything about District 4 on this printed schedule..... So, a person that has this schedule might look for Anacortes meetings and find none, not realizing there is of course a D46 schedule that includes Fidalgo. Of course, our schedule is titled "ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS DISTRICT 46 SCHEDULE: FIDALGO, WHIDBEY AND THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS. On our schedule, we do list contact info for D4 Skagit and D11 Whatcom. Perhaps I should request that they (District 4) make a note of some sort on their schedule to clarify more specifically their meeting location area or note that Fidalgo/Anacortes Meetings are on different schedules...

No changes were made regarding Registrar information for meetings or trusted servants. I have still not received the requested reports from the Area Registrar and will make the request again; this was a request to get a copy of the most recent Area 72 data for meeting GSRs and Trusted Servants to compare with our records.

No changes or additions were made this month. A request to the AREA Registrar was made to provide the latest spreadsheets for District 46 Trusted Servants and GSRs. This was done to check for accuracy between our records and the records of the Area/GSO. The Area Registrar has not provided these documents yet.

Hello,
No updates or changes relating to Registrar contracts were made this month. As always, GSR’s and other Trusted servants should let me know of any changes/additions for contacts. In addition, I am looking forward to helping someone serve as an “ apprentice” to learn for the duties of the position of Registrar for the next rotation! (Ditto for the position of Schedules!)
Thank you.

200 copies of our schedules were printed and will be available at the monthly District meeting. There were very few changes to the schedule this month. These changes were also made to the Meeting Guide. As usual, please let me know of any changes to meeting times, locations, etc. Also, If anyone is interested in volunteering for the positions of schedules and/or Registrar for the next rotation (starting next year), I would be happy to have you as an “apprentice” to learn the “trade” this year!

REGISTRAR REPORT MAY 2024

Progress was made this month on clearing up and correcting several inconsistencies that were on the GSO database. Addresses were added to several GSRs and Elected Trusted Servants for our district making the current database much more accurate than in the past. I am still missing a few addresses and still working on clearing up the status of 2 meetings that are listed as "Unknown". I am trying to determine information regarding the meeting of the Bayview Friday Night Group in Langley.
I attended the Area Registrar workshop last month and learned several interesting strategies for registrar duties particularly with working with our database that is connected with AREA and GSO (including the Meeting Guide).
There had been several issues with the Database that I could not resolve, primarily concerning Langley group meetings. When the Area Registrar also could not solve the problem, I contacted the Area Webmaster. He was able to show me several problems with the manner of entries in certain cells on our Database. Example: the word Women's would not be recognized, it has to be entered as just Women (for Women's meeting). There was also an issue with exact formatting for the manner in which addresses must be entered. Once I made these corrections, the problems were resolved!
Currently the latest GSO database lists 32 ACTIVE MEETINGS, 18 INACTIVE, 5 MERGED MEETINGS (I merged several Friday Harbor meetings recently), and 2 UNKNOWN STATUS.
Dina shared with me from from an interesting report from GSO listing monetary contributions from each group for the first quarter of 2024. It is quite interesting as it includes many meetings that are no longer active and, of course, lists them as percent contributions! I reached out to the Area asking why they include the inactive meetings in the contribution percentages; I was told that GSO keeps the list of Inactive meetings on their database for all such correspondence as meetings will occasionally become active again.

I am excited to report that I am now able (thanks Dave) to directly change meeting information (times, types, etc) to our new District 46 online meeting website list WHICH ALSO CHANGES THE MEETING GUIDE APP! I have made several changes in this regard and the changes appear on the Meeting Guide within 1-2 days; it used to take MUCH longer as we had to go thru the Area for changes.
I am continuing to make changes/ corrections for GSR information ( emails, addresses, etc). I’ve registered the new GSR for the Anacortes Group, and continued to attempt to clear up the list of groups having an UNKNOWN STATUS.
I plan on attending the upcoming Area Registrar meeting.
I WOULD REQUEST THAT ALL GSRs check the accuracy for the printed schedules AND FOR THE MEETING GUIDE. I CONTINUE TO FIND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE TWO RESOURCES. I NEED TO CORRECT these.
Thanks,
Mike A.

I attended an Area Registrar’s workshop earlier this month. I received a list of 10 groups in our district that were considered to be of UNKNOWN STATUS from GSO. I managed to clear up most of these and Dina is helping with the San Juan Island groups on the list. I will be meeting with Alt. DCM to learn the database system that we now have access to in our district for managing group information and schedules.
