REGISTRAR REPORT MAY 2024
Mike Antrim, D46 Registrar
Progress was made this month on clearing up and correcting several inconsistencies that were on the GSO database. Addresses were added to several GSRs and Elected Trusted Servants for our district making the current database much more accurate than in the past. I am still missing a few addresses and still working on clearing up the status of 2 meetings that are listed as "Unknown". I am trying to determine information regarding the meeting of the Bayview Friday Night Group in Langley.
I attended the Area Registrar workshop last month and learned several interesting strategies for registrar duties particularly with working with our database that is connected with AREA and GSO (including the Meeting Guide).
There had been several issues with the Database that I could not resolve, primarily concerning Langley group meetings. When the Area Registrar also could not solve the problem, I contacted the Area Webmaster. He was able to show me several problems with the manner of entries in certain cells on our Database. Example: the word Women's would not be recognized, it has to be entered as just Women (for Women's meeting). There was also an issue with exact formatting for the manner in which addresses must be entered. Once I made these corrections, the problems were resolved!
Currently the latest GSO database lists 32 ACTIVE MEETINGS, 18 INACTIVE, 5 MERGED MEETINGS (I merged several Friday Harbor meetings recently), and 2 UNKNOWN STATUS.
Dina shared with me from from an interesting report from GSO listing monetary contributions from each group for the first quarter of 2024. It is quite interesting as it includes many meetings that are no longer active and, of course, lists them as percent contributions! I reached out to the Area asking why they include the inactive meetings in the contribution percentages; I was told that GSO keeps the list of Inactive meetings on their database for all such correspondence as meetings will occasionally become active again.

I am excited to report that I am now able (thanks Dave) to directly change meeting information (times, types, etc) to our new District 46 online meeting website list WHICH ALSO CHANGES THE MEETING GUIDE APP! I have made several changes in this regard and the changes appear on the Meeting Guide within 1-2 days; it used to take MUCH longer as we had to go thru the Area for changes.
I am continuing to make changes/ corrections for GSR information ( emails, addresses, etc). I’ve registered the new GSR for the Anacortes Group, and continued to attempt to clear up the list of groups having an UNKNOWN STATUS.
I plan on attending the upcoming Area Registrar meeting.
I WOULD REQUEST THAT ALL GSRs check the accuracy for the printed schedules AND FOR THE MEETING GUIDE. I CONTINUE TO FIND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE TWO RESOURCES. I NEED TO CORRECT these.
Let me know needed changes to either at [email protected] Mike Antrim

I attended an Area Registrar’s workshop earlier this month. I received a list of 10 groups in our district that were considered to be of UNKNOWN STATUS from GSO. I managed to clear up most of these and Dina is helping with the San Juan Island groups on the list. I will be meeting with Alt. DCM to learn the database system that we now have access to in our district for managing group information and schedules.
