District 46 GSR Reports 2026

GSR Reports May

Blue Box Group
Mike C. GSR

Seemed like an extremely busy month personally. In the meeting hall things have been a bit wild as well. Blue Box treasurer position was vacated, then filled. We have also just filled an alternate GSR position with Finnen... he will likely take over as GSR next year :) Some growing pains have gone on with the treasurer position... we will be back on track in June.

I was asked to participate in Josh W.'s Summer Surrender Workshop.  That was a lot of fun.  More than a little nerve wracking, Overall, it was an amazing experience and I look forward to attending the next one.

Our meeting attendance has risen a bit which is fun to see. Personally I love our book studies. Big Book on Tuesdays and As Bill Sees It on Fridays. Seems everytime we read it there is always something new. . I guess that's the beauty of a book study.

Thank you for allowing me to be of service,

Mike C, GSR Blue Box

Lopez Island Group
Lori M. GSR

The Lopez Group has been having steady attendance, our regulars plus some newcomers and occasional guests. We are having a business meeting on May 30 and will be discussing some possible changes to our existing meetings.
We are still looking for a new GSR.

In grateful service,
Lori M.

Oak Harbor Group
Tim T. GSR

Things are going well and we're prepared for our move in three weeks.
Effective on June 1st, the Oak Harbor Group will be meeting at the Christian Reformed Church on Wieldraayer Rd, and the group formerly known as "The Room" will be joining the Oak Harbor Group.
Thank you,
Tim T.

Whidbey Island Group
Bill B. GSR

We continue to meet, though attendance has been a bit decreased. From 22 to a dozen or so. Likely due to weather , family and military commitments.
The group continues to explore having a second meeting. To be decided in June.
On May 30th at 10 am a group inventory will be conducted.

Respectfully,
Bill B

Clinton Group
Jess L. GSR

We are plugging along with our weekly meeting (6-8 people) and the monthly speaker meeting brings in about 50 people. We’re covering our expenses and our primary purpose. We rotate secretaries monthly and have that calendar covered through the end of the year. Stay sober.
Thanks,
Jess

Fidalgo Group
Howard R. GSR

All is well at the Fidalgo group. Attendance has dropped slightly (most likely due to nicer weather). Our YP chair position remains vacant. We're hoping to have something as far as events coming up from our activities chair.

Thanks,
Howard Roberts
Fidalgo Group GSR

Langley Group
Claudia B. GSR

My name is Claudia and I am the GSR for the Langley Group. Our group continues to do well. We are thrilled to see that we had been able to continue
to make such a significant 7th tradition contribution to the district. All of the officer positions are filled and there are usually positions open to chair one of the 20 meetings per week that we have. The treasury for the Group is in good shape and know that our prudent reserve is as it should be. We also have plenty of literature and supplies.
Birthday night was held at the end of April and, as usual, was a well-attended evening.
The major issue going on with the Group and the 432 Fellowship Club where the Langley Group meets is that the building’s owner passed away and that the building has to be sold within the next six months. There is an ad-hoc search committee looking for new accommodations. It might be in the form of a new clubhouse or as a place that could accommodate 20 meetings per week.
Our next Birthday Night/Potluck will be held on May 30 th from 7:00pm until 9:00pm when the cake is served.
Our May Langley Group business meeting will be held on the 31 st of May at the 432 Fellowship Hall in Langley at 1:15.

Thank you for allowing me to be of service,
Claudia B., Langley Group GSR

Central Service Committee of San Juan Island (CSC)
Dina M, District Liaison

We are hosting the May District 46 Business Meeting on 5/16/26.  It will be held at the San Juan Island Library.  We will be providing rides from the ferry to the library, and back, for anyone wishing to do a walk-on ferry ride and not bring their car.   We should be able to start the meeting close to 10am, possibly a little after, working around the ferry arrivals from Anacortes and other islands.  There will be snacks, coffee, water provided, but unfortunately, not a lunch this year.   Once a year, District 46 visits our island to make connections for SJI to meet the District Committee - and vice versa.

As far as our CSC group (Central Services Committee of San Juan Island), our Trusted Servants have recently rotated into their new positions, and are enthusiastic about their rotation, and the opportunity to serve the San Juan Island AA groups.

Fellowship of the Spirit
Kat B. GSR

Fellowship of the Spirit on Orcas has 2 meetings weekly at 5:30 pm: Monday is open; Thursday is closed. We have just started a Big Book Study on Thursday nights. We had a member step up for service, and we appointed him by group conscience as PIO and Literature. We did not discuss the conference topics as I was absent from the last business meeting. I sent out emails, but didn't get any responses. Spring is wonderful on Orcas. Please come and visit FOTS in The Barn on Frances Lane in Crow Valley!

Thanks,
Kat B.

Hello from Clinton Group! We submitted our thoughts on the WSO proposals to Courtney on Area 72 website documentation. It wasn’t easy to find time in our business meeting to go over the issues, but I heard from the 4 other people during the Langley business meeting (our groups overlap in attendance), so I had a pretty good sense of where the group stood. Our business meetings have generally 3-5 people. We continue to be a small but dedicated group. We reviewed that GSRs get reimbursed by standard mileage of 72 cents per mile, regardless if the car is gas or electric. At our Second Saturday.speaker meeting we had 42 people. We rotate key holders/secretaries monthly and are financially sound (although with one meeting a week with 5-7 people we don’t send much money upstream once the church donations and supplies are paid). We contributed $100 to the church carpet cleaning. The door is open to the newcomer! -
I’ll be at Girlstock in Bellingham this weekend.

The Oak Harbor Group is moving! Our new location is the Reform Church in Oak Harbor. Our last meeting at the Church on the Rock(s) will be on Sunday, May 31st and our first meeting at the Reform Church will be on Monday, June 1st.
We will be combining with the group known as "The Room" so we'll gain a Thursday evening meeting.
We'll miss our old home but are excited to be gaining new group members!

Blue Box Group
Mike C. GSR

Hey all, things have been pretty quiet at the Blue Box meeting for the past month. 4-6 people at the meetings recently. We did have a little business meeting a couple weeks ago to discuss the topics. We put together a group conscience on 4 of them. Response sent off to Courtney using the Google notes. Super easy and fun.

The Eastsound Group had their monthly business meeting on March 22.
The business meeting is well attended and members are asking great questions about participation, finances and processes to be brought up at the next business meeting.

The meetings are autonomous and have a variety of vibes and topics. There are meetings for everyone to enjoy and grow in sobriety. We have a mix of in person and hybrid meetings.  The zoom information is: 908 478 2004  no pass code  Many of our hybrid meetings start at 530pm.  Monday, Friday, and Sunday night at 530pm. Tuesday night women's meeting 530 to 630, Men's meeting from 7-8pm. Please join us.

Things are going well for the Fidalgo Group. We had a total of 1002 attendees from 66 meetings for the month of March (attendance is taken for the Salvation Army's records). We had 6 meeting chair people start new rotations (minimum of 6 month rotation). I've set aside three, 1 hour slots to meet with the group to go over the GSC agenda items and will be able to give our thoughts to the area delegate by April 18th.

The Lopez Group is doing ok. We have had some meeting disruptions due to our meeting space being double-booked. This doesn't happen often, but it is something we may need to address at the next business meeting. We also still need to fill some service positions.
Attendance is steady.

Thanks for letting me be of service.

April GSR Report:
Whidbey Island Group is alive and well.
We are exploring whether to have a second meeting and what that would look like. We have a date (30 May) and a trusted servant to guide us through the group inventory process.
The group will be contributing funds to Dist. Ect, and is addressing a budget concern regarding seed monies being held for the Gratitude Banquet.
Attendance continues to average 20 or better.
We discussed the Grapevine issue for feedback for Area 72 pre-conference feedback.

Howdy, may you all be living large! All is well in our group. Continue to move forward in carrying the message to the newcomer, and suggestions from the old-timers. This is a “mini Intergroup" that serves the groups on San Juan Island.  We meet monthly on the 2nd Tues of the month.  We provide San Juan Island Schedules (and District 46 schedules), pamphlets, Newcomer Packets, and a Literature Rep that can order books for members and groups, and PI/CPC contact for community outreach.  Currently, we just had a service rotation change for Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and PI/CPC positions.  We encourage each group to participate with a group representative if they wish, and the committee is trying to provide some small workshops and other helpful information that might help groups and members with ideas of how to build unity in their groups.  We have some groups on the SJI that although they do not have a GSR, they do participate financially to CSC, District 46, Area 72, and GSO.

May all be well with you and yours! Our meeting is doing very well with attendance of newcomers with oldtimers participation. Two service positions are open , treasure and secretary. Secretary is filled, with the current treasurer will continue until another steps up. Our Anniversary dinner is currently being discussed as a yearly event or every 5 years. Business decorum was discussed. Members will follow Roberts Rule as much as possible. As well, it was discussed on conference approved literature only in meetings. The decision was made to do so, BUT be open to the chairs choosing of AA related literature.ENJOY

Fellowship of the Spirit Group- Orcas

Was hoping to attend via zoom today, but a friend in the program asked for a favor that coincides time wise and I remembered this wonderful way to file a GSR report right here online, so here it is:

The group continues to hold good attendance, but does lack service position engagement. This is one area we can definitely work on, and I will try to push that forward in business meetings. But other than that the group is good and we appreciate the district and everyone in a service position for all their hard work. Thank you

We rotate secretaries every week. We are about 8 regulars who are meeting consistently. We have a treasurer, secretary, GSR and supply person. Birthday night is the last Monday of the month. So far, so good.

All is well with the group. We had a total of 992 people attend meetings for the month of February. It was decided at our February business meeting to announce that our 7th tradition funds were lacking. The fellowship responded exceptionally well. At this same meeting, we had someone step up to fill our PI chair position. The only position we have unfilled is our YP chair. I did attend the pre-conference assembly held in Everett on March 14th. I will bring this information back to the group to discuss at our next business meeting.

Blue Box has been doing well. Kind of a quiet month for the group. i did attend the pre-conference via zoom.. it was super fun to hear the different perspectives on the topics. I brought back to the group the printed out topics that were sent via email, thanks for the summary. I plan on getting an impromptu business meeting early April for our group conscience before the reply is to be sent to

The Lopez Group is holding steady. We recently held a business meeting and are still working on filling some open service positions. It was decided we would have some new flyers made and post them at various places around the island.
I attended the pre-conference on Saturday, and I look forward to going back to the group to discuss the some of the agenda items.
Thank you for allowing me to be service.

Eastsound Group
Vicki H. GSR

The January 17th Business meeting was very robust with attendance and sharing.  January first saw the rotation of service commitments.
There were many questions and comments on improving our homegroup. Business meeting format clarification, secretary reports, and a great discussion about Group Inventories. The secretary excels in her service role.  So much positive inquisitiveness and homegroup members wanting to roll up their sleeves.

I personally appreciate that our business meeting is the day after District. It improves my reporting to the homegroup.

As the GSR I am truly happy to represent the Eastsound Group and do a better job at a GSR in my second year of service.

Passing it on, Vicki

Fellowship of the Spirit is doing well. We got more wood for the fire last month, so the barn is nice and toasty. Attendance has been good at our Monday and Thursday meetings at 5:30 pm. I missed our last business meeting, so I have little to report. In December, we chose new people for our service positions. Our GSR position is a 2-year term, so I will continue to be the FOTS GSR.

Thanks, Kat B.

It's been a good month at Blue Box. Our book studies are amazing. Big Book on Tuesdays and As Bill Sees It on Fridays. So good to hear from different perspectives, ideas and experiences from new friends and old timers alike.
Our first step meetings when a new face arrives. . It's still magical every time it happens. Sharing our experience with the first step. The connection and hope that comes from it. It's a beautiful thing to behold.

Thank you AA,

Our meetings continue to be well attended (68 meetings with an attendance of 1004 people for the month of January). We have our YP and PI chair positions that we are looking to fill. With the cost increase in supplies, our 7th tradition contributions are not going as far as they used to. We have been announcing at our meetings to be more frugal about making coffee as well as throwing in an extra buck to the 7th tradition basket if you are able.

Thanks,

Greetings from Clinton Group, and happy new year to everyone. Our small but dedicated and steady group continues meeting once a week at Saint Peter’s church near the Clinton ferry. Mondays 7 pm. We have a business meeting once a month on the first Monday. We rotate secretaries every month. 7th Tradition contributions are holding steady and we are able to contribute to the church and greater AA. We also host a speaker meeting on the second Saturday of every month with a potluck at six and the speaker at seven. Staying sober is a worthwhile journey. We encourage all newcomers to get into the books and the step as soon as possible. Thanks! Jess L

All is well with the Fidalgo group. We had 77 meetings with a total of 1026 attendees for the month of December. This included our regular weekly meetings along with the holiday alcathon meetings. The Friday evening game night/meeting that we have recently started has been well attended. Our try at morning meetings has come to an end. We didn't really get the support we originally thought that we would, so with a group conscience, we have cancelled them.

discussion about disruptions when people arrive late and making sure the supplies were
secure in the clubhouse from prying hands. The big surprise was a past member came
to the meeting and repaid the group $400 as an amends for money he stole over three
years ago from the safe (it had to be replaced). It’s great to see the steps in action.

Fidalgo Group GSR Report

We have had a busy month for the group. At our last business meeting, we filled our treatment chair, and possibly our YP chair positions (the person interested in YP is going to reach out to our district YP chair and get more information). Our activities committee is back up and running. One thing they are looking into is a Friday evening meeting/game night. They plan to hold an hour's meeting followed up with an hour of games (running this by the Salvation Army). There will be a Thanksgiving Alcathon. Our group recently completed a formal group inventory with the alt dcm to discover how well we are doing our job to bring the message to the still suffering alcoholic. This process was constructive and results are pouring forth.
The last Sunday of this month on the 30th we will host our trusted servant in corrections to talk on his position and service work.

Greetings from Clinton Group AA, Mondays 7 pm. Attendance has been slightly lower than usual lately, likely due to the weather. We are still open and here for the newcomer. Gratitude Banquet Potluck is November 22nd Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland, 4:30-9 pm. Everyone is welcome. Speaker meeting at Clinton is the second Saturday potluck 6 pm, speaker 7 pm. There's a Thanksgiving meeting marathon at the Oak Harbor church on Ireland street. Be well, all. When the man bought a bagel, he paid the vendor $10 but got nothing back, and when he questioned this, the vendor said "change comes from within".

Thank-you,

My name is Claudia and I am the GSR for the Langley Group.
Glad to be able to participate in person.
Our group continues to do well. All of the officer positions are filled and there are usually positions open to chair one of the 20 meetings per week that we have. The treasury for the Group is in good shape. Birthday night was held at the end of October and is always a well-attended evening and it was an honor to chair the meeting since it was my birthday month. Our next Birthday Night/Potluck will be held on November 29 and our November Langley Group business meeting will be held at the 432 Fellowship Hall in Langley on November 30th at 1:15. Reports were given and there was no old or new business.
Thank you for allowing me to be of service,

It's been a good month, we're seeing a rise in 7th tradition as a result of more people in our meetings.
We discussed how to best reach out to the newcomers @ our last business meeting. We voted to add a piece about anyone needing a sponsor... and those willing to sponsor. It was passed, now we're looking to get it properly worded and added to the chair paperwork.

Thank-you,

GSR for Fellowship of the Spirit on Orcas Island. We meet in Crow Valley in the Barn on Monday and Thursday at 5:30. We are reading Emotional Sobriety 2 at the Thursday meeting. The bonfire season has officially begun, so we are warm and cozy.

FOTS sent me to the October Assembly, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve. The group had a work party to clean up the Barn and get ready for winter. We put down gravel to make the walk from the close parking spots safer and less muddy.

We have a birthday meeting on the first Monday of the month, celebrating the month before. Our group is doing well; we have good attendance and thoughtful discussions during the business meetings. We fellowship before and after the meetings. There is a new meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 at the Community Church Annex called the Fried Check-In that is not under FOTS, but we want to get the word out. There is dinner provided at this meeting!

Clinton group meets once a week Mondays at 7 pm at Saint Peter's Church near the Clinton ferry. We have a steady group and we rotate secretaries monthly, they choose a weekly chairperson on the spot to lead a topic. Our business meeting is the 1st Monday at 6:15 pm and we have a treasurer and business secretary. We have grapevines and literature available. We celebrate birthdays the last Monday of the month with cake. The meetings are fun and personal. We also host a monthly Speaker's Meeting the second Saturday with potluck at 6 pm and meeting at 7. We donate to the church and send funds to district, area, and GSO. I was unable to get to the Area assembly because I was taking care of ill family members out of state. I will be at Bakerstock this weekend. We always announce the district news as necessary, such as D46 needing a schedule and registrar person. So far so good, AA is alive and well on South Whidbey.

Good morning from Tuesday night men’s group on San Juan Island. I am writing this report on Friday 9/19/ 2025. After conferring with my home group I have decided to step down from my position as GSR and take the position of treasurer for my group. Let me say that being a GSR has taught me a lot about AA, unity, the structure of the organization and about the fellowship that is the foundation. While I do believe the GSR is important but without a group, it’s not possible. That’s why I’m stepping down and we have no replacement at this time. While the core of the Tuesday men’s is solid we don’t have enough attendance to support regular group functions and have trusted servants at the district level. Our most recent treasurer was in that position for over 10 years. Too long. So in the spirit of rotation I feel the need to step down from district and step up to take this. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to serve at this level or any level within the fellowship. Thanks for all you have given me. Russ.

We held our group monthly business meeting on September 9th. The group is healthy and functioning well. We had a total of 943 people attend meetings for the month of August. Our new addition of morning meetings is moving slow. We'll assess at the next business meeting to see if we need to adjust the time or eliminate one (currently have a 6:30 am, M ,W, F). We are still in need of a PI and YP chair. As of now, our corrections chair is lumped together with treatment. A discussion has started on separating the two. Another discussion that came up is looking into starting a men's meeting. A final note from that business meeting was the discussion of the three assembly motions from the upcoming area 72 assembly. The group voted their conscience which I will take to the assembly in October.

I reported to our group about the successful scheduling of the upcoming workshops and the motions on the floor for the assembly. I had one member respond concerning the Bus Sign motion: "There are two parts to tradition 11. The first half, not a throwaway statement, is a separate reminder that it is what we do and not what we say that attracts others. A bus sign is by its very nature a promotion. In the least, the word "ad" should be removed and the sign should be carefully worded as a public service announcement with the central office phone number. There are guidelines that the Public Information committee (for one) follows that might help here."

Our meetings are Monday and Thursday at 5:30 pm. We have good attendance this summer, with a few visitors from off-island. That is all.

Birthday Night/Potluck will be held on August 30 and our August Langley Group
business meeting will be held at the 432 Fellowship Hall in Langley on August 31st at
1:15. Finally, we voted at the July business meeting that there should be at least one
closed meeting at the Langley Group. However, it was quite clear that there was not any
unanimity as to which one(s) should be open or closed. A motion to make one of each
closed failed. A motion to not change any 12 and 8pm meetings to closed failed. It was
decided that secretaries would get input from their attendees as to whether any should
be changed. The secretaries would meet after the business meeting. We should
empower secretaries. It was agreed that a statement would be put on the board that
non-members/children would not lead or read during the meeting. We discussed items
like safety and disruptions. No decisions were made.

I also participated in the four-hour delegate report back in Mount Vernon and reported the results to the Rise&Shine group in our business meeting. We continue to meet every weekday morning on Zoom at 6:30 and attract newcomers or long-term members who
find us in the meeting guide. We have a new treasurer and switched from Banner Bank which charges a monthly service fee or a minimum balance of $800, to Savi Bank, which does not have these requirements. For online contributions, we tried to switch from PayPal to Venmo, to avoid the service fee 2.9% plus $.30; however, after significant effort and failure to get Venmo connected, we reverted to PayPal. There is no fee to the contributor if PayPal is connected to their bank account. Our treasurer reached out to the District 46 treasurer who reached out to the Area 72 treasurer before resolving our dilemma. Our in-person social for this online only group is a breakfast potluck picnic at Causland Park in Anacortes at 8:00 am.

I missed the last meeting, but wanted to relay that our group would participate in workshops, and support a workshop on learning more about gender identity in AA. Our group is coed, and we do not have any gender specific meetings at this time, so we have no specific issues, but would like to learn more about how AA is supporting gender identity in the rooms to help all people stay sober. We would also support any youth activities on the island that our Youth Chair, Cory H., may suggest to reach out to more youth on Orcas. We do not have any youth at our meetings, but we are outdoors and have a bonfire at each meeting (if the weather permits), so we believe we are an attractive option for youth looking for an AA meeting. Our Monday meeting is a closed meeting and Thursday is open. We will update the website with this information.
Our attendance has been great this summer.

closed. The others are the two women’s meetings. By the end of the meeting, it was

The Langley Group continues to do well. An issue that was brought up, and comes up
from time to time, is the separation of the Langley Group (an AA group) and the 432
Fellowship (the “Hall). The discussion has to do with the “Hall’s” responsibility for the
permanent fixtures (including tables, chairs, and coffee pot) and who handles their
maintenance. On the other hand, we discussed that the Langley Group (and other 12
step meetings) is responsible literature, coffee, food, and paper supplies (amongst other
things). The treasury for the Group is in good shape. Birthday night was held at the end
of May and was, again, a fun evening. Our next Birthday Night/Potluck will be held on
June 28 th and our June Langley Group business meeting will be held at the 432
Fellowship Hall in Langley on June 29th at 1:15. Finally, we are having a vote at the
June business meeting regarding the assignment of “closed” status to several meetings
a week. Currently there is some interest since some members have brought their young
teenage kids as guests and there is concern about anonymity and distraction. It is also
an opportunity for people to understand the difference between Open and Closed
meetings and also get to vote for an issue that affects all of the meetings of the Langley
Group.
Thank you for allowing me to be of service,

The Fidalgo Group meetings are going strong. We are asked by the Salvation Army (where are meetings are held), to keep a monthly attendance for our meetings. We broke 1000 people for the month of May! We're looking to fill our YP and PI chair positions (we have a YP candidate). Our Friday evening meeting has been temporarily cancelled (fireside meeting at Washington park has started back up). The group has decided to give a morning a meeting a try. More details to follow. At our last business meeting, a discussion was had concerning the possibility of a gender expression/identification in AA workshop. Having been directly effected by this topic in our meetings, the consensus was the group handled it well with love and acceptance (just as we do with anyone that enters our room) and did not become an issue. No workshop on this subject is needed for the Fidalgo group. One suggestion was the possibility of a workshop covering safety in AA.

Thank you,

We steadily continue with one meeting a week on Mondays at 7 pm at Saint Peter's Church near the Clinton ferry.
The Second Saturday Speaker was Andrew M. with 37 years. We are a consistent group with good sharing and we rotate the secretary every month. Several of us are going to the International Convention.

For those groups having an issue with rotating out sitting secretaries (or 'chairs'), I wanted to share what we've done at Langley group (where I am business secretary and where we have 21 meetings a week). We post clearly on the announcement whiteboard positions are 6 months only, require rotation, and must have 6 months of sobriety and a sponsor is suggested. Over on the schedule white board we have a column for the current secretary's name, then their service over date (this has to be written in and it has to be 6 months and no more after the start date, it is written "rotation is required"). Next to that is a column for anyone who wants to take over that meeting to write in their name as the next person to run that meeting, so it's obvious there is a replacement. If someone's 6 months is up they are required to erase their name and step down, even if no one seems to be on board to take the meeting, and the available meeting slot is written on the announcement board and announced at every meeting. If someone overstays their 6 months it's talked about at a business meeting and their sponsor is informed and they are corrected. So far that has kept the leadership rotation healthy and we don't need a crowbar to pry anyone out of their seat.
Thank you. Jess

We’ve decided to bump up our donation to the church as well as donating to A.A at district area and general service office levels.

We have about 9-12 people regularly, we meet once a week on Mondays and we host the second Saturday speaker meeting.

A number of us are going to the international convention. We are serving our primary purpose by being on the schedule and having our doors open for the Newcomer. We celebrate Soberversaries the last Monday of the month with a cake.

Good day all,
Blue Box has been going very well.
Friday nights we've been reading "as Bill sees it"
The discussion of the pages we've read in the past month, has been so great, we've only read 11 pages. It's amazing to hear and share our experience, strength and hope.
Things are going smoothly :)

Thank you. Mike

Russ H. GSR

Hello from the Tuesday night men's group in FH. This is my GSR report for April 2025. The current GSR completly botched the Area reports and the agenda for this year's area assembly. So we have had no discussions and no ideas. We are also still struggling with service positions at this time. on A positive note we have had our core of 5-6 old timers and a few newcomers here and there. we have BB for sale as well as 12/12 and a current men's phone list. I do wish I had more good news but not this month.
YIS Russ.

Hello,
Our group has been struggling with attendance and people showing up to chair, as well as people signing up to chair. This group's conscience is to have someone share with their experience, strength and hope for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then open the meeting up for discussion. Just going through a slump I believe. Besides that nothing new to report.

Thank you,

Do I need to contact anyone else to have the district schedules updated to reflect our new Monday meeting?
Thank you, Tim T.

Business as usual. We are currently looking to fill our YP and literature chair positions. Due to some of our larger meetings and limited time for shares, we've given our meeting chair people the option of using a way to time sharing. A "spiritual time keeper" can be appointed for the meeting (3 to 5 minutes with 5 being max). This will be completely up to the meeting chair person.

Thanks,

The Langley Group continues to do well and has been encouraging the Secretaries of

April 26 and I was not in attendance due to GirlStock (which was fantastic) but I
understand that it went well. Our trusted servant positions are filled. Our next Birthday

Greetings, our group is moving forward in all recovery aspects. There is a workshop being held on May 31st at our meeting hall at Dakota Creek. Back to Basics, get through the steps in one day with a sharing partner. A few spots available as of April 27th, contact is Dick K. or myself. Island County jail is back open for AA panels. Could use a couple of women and a rotating male for assisting. Please contact Louis or myself for more information. Review of the quarterly agenda was a flop. Need to improve my communication skills indeed! A work in progress. Business meetings are well attended, as well as a good input of new folks. Banners are still a mystery on location. ENJOY Al

The Fellowship of the Spirit, located on Orcas Island, holds meetings on Monday and Thursday nights at 5:30. Our attendance has been good. Our Thursday night meeting has started reading the Big Book Plain Language Version. We recently had our business meeting, during which I was able to discuss the agenda items that Courtney, our delegate, had requested for the Conference. I submitted our group's thoughts last week. We also decided to read our safety card at every meeting, rather than just once a month. I finally got my GSR Packet in the mail; Thank you!

Correction:

Thursday night is reading Emotional Sobriety, not Plain Language Big Book. We just ordered and received a few copies of the Plain Language BB.

Thanks.

Hey guys its been an amazing month which has brought a bit of change to the group.
We've been seeing a lot of newcomers, which is so great. Our group decided last business meeting, to stop reading the history of AA.
While it is invaluable to a member... newcomers we getting bored and didn't get involved in the discussions after reading.
Were reading big book/ 12x12 Tues.
And just started As Bill Sees it. Fridays.
As a result of this change, the discussions have carried much more depth and weight.

We continue with a steady group of 10-14 people on Mondays at 7 pm at St. Peter's, and we host a popular well attended speaker meeting the second Saturday of the month at St. Peter's Church in Clinton (behind Cozy's by the Clinton Ferry) with potluck at 6 pm, speaker at 7 pm. This month we had a speaker from Bellingham. We've been able to regularly contribute donations to the church, buy supplies, and send money to District, Area, and GSO. Our birthday night is the last Monday of the month and our business meeting is the 1st Monday each month. We have a secretary, treasurer, and GSR. We need a coffee maker for the next three months. I attended the delegate pre-assembly in Mt Vernon and presented the points Courtney shared with us to the group over a few weeks. I traveling when we had our business meeting April 7th, so Claudia sent in our group conscience to Courtney for me.

Hello,
District 46 Tuesday Night Men's Group in Friday Harbor is still alive. While we have a stable group of 4 to 5 members, our attendance has been smaller than normal. At this time the lights are on, we are sending 7th tradition upstream and staying the course. YIS Russ H.

The Langley Group continues to do well and has been encouraging the Secretaries of
the different meetings to attend the business meeting. We have 20 meetings per week
and all of them are currently fully staffed with a secretary who has a six-month term. I
regularly attend the Langley Group Monday Morning Women’s Meeting at 10:00am
which is usually attended by about 25 women. March’s birthday night was well attended
and, as usual, we enjoyed lots of goodies at the potluck that precedes the meeting. We
have a well-stocked selection of literature for sale in addition to a lending library
containing old Grapevines and used literature that has been donated over the years.
Our next Birthday Night/Potluck will be held on April 26 and our March Langley Group
business meeting will be held at the 432 Fellowship Hall in Langley on April 27th at

Greetings District 46! I am currently in North Carolina visiting family, but with modern technology I’m able to submit my report AND attend the meeting! The Tuesday night men’s group in FH are doing good. Doors are open and coffee is being made. First, I want to say that it is an honor to represent the Langley Group in District 46. The
Langley Group (held at the 432 Fellowship Club in Langley) is doing well and has been
encouraging the Secretaries of the different meetings to attend the business meeting.
We have 20 meetings per week and all of them are currently fully staffed with a
secretary who has a six-month term. There is even space on the board for the name of
the next Secretary to take over the next six-month commitment. I regularly attend the
Langley Group Monday Morning Women’s Meeting at 10:00am which is usually
attended by about 25 women. Our February birthday night was Standing Room Only
and we enjoyed lots of goodies at the potluck that precedes the meeting. We have a
well-stocked selection of literature for sale in addition to a lending library containing old
Grapevines and used literature that has been donated over the years. Our next Birthday
Night/Potluck will be held on March 29 th and our March Langley Group business meeting
will be held at the 432 Fellowship Hall in Langley on March 30 th at 1:15. Finally, as my
other report will mention, I truly appreciated the honor of attending PRAASA last
weekend and look forward to tomorrow’s Preconference Assembly.

Our group has a coalition of regular attendees. Our schedule is Wednesday night 12 step study, Sunday night Big Book study at 7pm and 2nd and last Sundays 12 Concepts study at 530 pm. Our format is to take turns reading one paragraph from the books. Then to share or pass on that paragraph. That paragraph is then open for comments from anyone. When discussion of that paragraph is done then the next paragraph is read.
A grand old time is to be had by all.

Hi All,
Last week in Clinton I was voted in as GSR (taking over from Andrew), after a brief but lovely two months getting my feet wet as a lonely Alt GSR.
It was a quick and easy ascension, with no one standing in the way.
Thanks,
See you in Freeland in 10 days.
Jess

My Clinton notes:
We hold our business meetings on the first Monday of the month, 6:15 pm before the meeting starts at 7 pm at Saint Peter's Church, Clinton.
All are welcome. We continue to have the same treasurer as last term, a supply person, and a new secretary is keeping minutes. Business meetings usually have about 6 people. We continue to donate to the church and District, Area, and GSO. Birthday night is the last Monday of the month and the cake (secretary's choice) is always outta sight. Our monthly rotation of secretary duty calendar is full until July and then again from October to December (everyone likes to be outdoors during summer). A month makes an easy try out for someone with 6 months to try their hand at leading a meeting. Topics are literature based. We have a service position opening as coffee maker staring April 1 (no joke). We will be attending our south Whidbey D46 meeting in Freeland March 15 and the pre-assembly in Mount Vernon the next day. We have literature and schedules for newcomers. Our group has steady attendance. One thing to note for the online schedule is that we are weekly on Mondays but the Saturday speaker meeting is only on the second Sat of the month at 7 pm. Potluck starts at 6 pm.
Thanks all for allowing me to be of service. Jess

We post a meeting schedule in our weekly newspaper and have flyers in various locations on the island to let people know when and where the meetings are held.

Hello all, Blue Box has been seeing very big numbers recently, as high as 22 people this Tuesday. I love seeing our new people from the area and visitors from other parts of the country. Hello,

The Friday Night Old Group is going strong! We are continuing to have about 15 to 30 on Friday nights. It is consistent with its format and attendance. Nothing new to report on the meeting.
Due to this group only having quarterly business meetings everyone agreed to me making any time sensitive information in the announcements. This is the time of year that happens. I will be giving a brief report next week on what we went over at Pre Conference for them to ponder, as well as have an opportunity to ask any questions before our April business meeting.

Hello,
The Friday Night Old Group is going well. They decided to leave the break and keep the meeting from 7pm to 8:30pm. They will continue to do their business meetings quarterly and stop at 8:15 instead of 8:30 with no break on those nights.
In the spirit of rotation we have a new trusted servant coming in next week to take over as Secretary.
I still have not found an Alt GSR but will continue to announce as I have this year left on my two year term as GSR for that meeting. There are a few of us on the island that I have noticed are making announcements and talking more about General Service these days so I am seeing some newcomers' ears perk up! There is Hope ~

Besides that there are no changes.

Our group meets Monday through Friday at 6:30 am, featuring Big Book and 12&12 discussions two days a week. Since we meet via Zoom only, we hold monthly in-person gatherings. Last month, we had lunch at Calico Cupboard, and this month, we will gather on February 21 at Village Pizza at 6:00 pm. Business meetings are well attended, with approximately half of those at the shortened regular meeting staying for the 30-minute business session. We have a new secretary and GSR and will soon have a new treasurer. Male members attend meetings at Monroe prison, while female members take an AA panel into Ithuha Detox once a month. Birthday shares occur on the last MWF of the month; we deliver coins, cards, and cupcakes to those who are celebrating or send coins and cards by mail to those living far away.

We have a repeat Treasurer and a new secretary and are still seeking a GSR. We have been meeting again consistently in person for 3 years now, we never went on Zoom, yet the group has been meeting in Clinton since the 80s. We have newcomers and we are discoverable on the AA meeting guide app. We celebrate birthdays on the last Monday of the month. We rotate secretaries monthly and the secretary chooses a different chairperson for a weekly topic, usually out of the Big Book or Daily Reflections. The Fidalgo group is doing well. We just added a Friday 7pm meeting (open meeting). That gives us a total of 15 meetings a week. We keep trying to promote the spirit of rotation for our meeting chairs and get new people involved (which has always been a problem). We also put out a home group sign up sheet. Not to be used other than to get a feel for how many home group members we have and if someone does not have a home group and would like to make the Fidalgo group their home. All in all the Fidalgo group is going strong.

Friday Night Old Group
Marilyn GSR

Hello,
We had our group conscience the first Friday of January at 6:30. It was our first time trying it before the meeting instead of after. Our attendance has been about 3 people for some time at business meetings. We ended up having 6 people there. This meeting is from 7pm to 8:30 with a 10 minute break at 7:50.
Due to us losing half of the room at the break, we decided to announce for two weeks to the group that we would like to get rid of the break and have the meeting end at 8:15 instead of 8:30. That would give the chair (speaker) 15 minutes to talk and then time for people to share. We have done that now and the group conscience will be on 1/17/25.
In the spirit of rotation our secretary also stepped down last week and no one has stepped up yet.
Hopefully that will happen soon.
This was the first and only meeting on SJI for some time. It started on January 13th,1966 and it had 59 years this week.

In Gratitude,
Marilyn G

This is the report for the Tuesday night men’s group on SanJuan Island.
For 3 of the 5 weeks of December the group had to find a location for the meetings as the church needed the facility. We somehow managed to find a home each week. The most difficult part was adequately notifying people in advance. But it all worked out just as if God wanted us to meet. Our attendance was down somewhat during the holidays as to be expected but we did get a newcomer and even got him to detox in Oak Harbor the weekend after Christmas.

Russ here for Tuesday Men’s Meeting.
Group attendance has continued to be strong with occasional visitors and travlers. Our treasure has been seeking a replacement but has not found one yet. We believe some of the men don’t want to step into the treasure position due to the complexity of dealing with the banks. We will continue to try. We just changed our monthly birthday meeting to the last Friday of the month.
There is also a women's meeting on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00
