April 2025 Report
Hi All –
Here, attached, is the current report of activity for our district in March. When I called Front Desk, they said there were no issues to report.
Also, I am currently updating our 12th Step Volunteers List (after getting more than 30 new volunteers names & numbers to add!), So I'll be sending out the newly rotated and amended list soon.
I hope the meeting is a good experience for all.

Monthly contact made w/MyFrontDesk (our answering service), and they said there were no issues to report [see attached]. I contacted both Howard R & Howard P about new procedures needing to be approved by the District.

Hey there - this is a follow up on what happened with the call from Seattle That ended up getting patched to someone on Orcas - The reason it looks like it ‘skipped down the list’ on outreach calling, was because the Operator did not input all of the other calls she made. Andrea, a supervisor, sent me a different in-house report which showed every one of the Fidalgo Island men had been called, unsuccessfully (meaning nobody picked up/answered their phone. The operator then skipped over the Whidbey Island numbers, believing Orcas Island to be closer geographically.
I took several steps to ensure this wouldn't happen again:

- a) Suggested further training on properly recording each attempted call (so we get a ‘complete’, accurate report).
- b) Any out of the area calls be routed to me first (for screening).
- c) I highlighted the word only for Orcas and San Juan lists & asked her to verbally stress the importance of not sending off island calls to them.
- d) I'm now checking reports weekly, so any future issues are caught and investigated sooner.

Answering Service Report October 2023
Hi All,
So, this month, we had a couple of callers that wanted to speak w/an AA member and whom were connected through using the defunct list. Fortunately, the person they were patched through to was a still active AA member; Dick K. [I called him to apologize to him for the mix up, and he actually requested to be included on the new list??].

I was unable to speak with the answering service supervisor. But I did find out that both calls were handled more than adequately. [1 of them was on behalf of a gentleman with Alzheimer's who was very happy to talk with Dick, and the 2nd was with a man who he is currently working the steps with (via the Back to Basics format) & getting connected to local AA meetings.
That this worked out so well was pure luck, but it illustrated the urgency of getting some new, current names and numbers to the answering service. Please get the new, current 12th step names & numbers coming so I can update our answering service.
Going forward, I will make sure that the GSR, alt GSR & PI Chair all have the current working list, so that I (& my computer ‘glitches’) will not re-create this problem in the future.
