Area 72 January Chair Report
Chair Report – Lupita Y.M.
Accomplishments from the past quarter.
The main accomplishments I have from the past quarter are wrapping up and handing off the treasury
to Derek. I have worked extensively with him over the past month to make sure he has a smooth
transition and is set up for success. I also spent time with Crystal and other past chairs (including my
service sponsor) to make sure I am set up for success and can be the best chairperson for Area 72.
Problems or issues you are facing or have already dealt with.
At this juncture, there have not been any problems or issues to deal with. I have started to get a
variety of emails from our Area website asking for details about meetings, or some issues to resolve.
Often, the sender of the email can be best assisted by another elected or appointed officer, so
recently I’ve been forwarding emails to ensure the people reaching out are heard and helped.
Please share some goals you hope to achieve or begin work on in the next quarter.
In the next quarter I hope to continue to get my legs under me as Area chair. I look forward to going
to some standing committee quarterlies, assisting districts as requested, and showing up as a source
of information and support for Area 72. I am excited to go to PRAASA, and I hope to see many of you
there!
