This past winter, the District Business Meeting Members voted to "stay the course" and not go for a conversion over to WordPress. What we give up in flexibility, we continue to gain in ease of use. As a result, I'd like to welcome JC aboard as our alt trusted web servant as he begins to learn the ins and outs of the position.
I'll continue until the end of the year and then rotate out. It's been an amazing ride and a real labor of love to be part of what District 46 does to support our groups in reaching out to the alcoholic who might just need a helping hand.
Once upon a time, I made some rash statements about changing over, perhaps, to WordPress. The idea was to cut costs and increase our ability to provide a better, more usable web site.
I'm running out of excuses and it looks like March/April is the time frame for migrating over. If you have any suggestions for what might make a better site, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or hit the Contact Us! page and let me know there. Thanks!!
After quite some time on our end of things, the District 46 schedule has been uploaded to the Area 72 website.

This new format has been the brainchild of a few, super-dedicated volunteers at the Area level, who took it upon themselves to finally construct a usable and user-friendly site.
If you find any errors, please mail us at email@example.com and let us know. Or hop on over to the "Contact Us" page and use the online form.
I've added a calendar to the home page, which lists upcoming events. Click on the event for more information and links that either refer to a flyer and/or google map, which shows the location of the event. Let me know if you think it should be located elsewhere. Thanks!
Reworked the Trusted Servants page so that it now contains clickable phone numbers and email addresses. This works seamlessly on smart phones, but requires some additional effort if you're using your browser. On Macs, it's not a problem, Facetime pops up and will dial your numbers.
You need to install the chrome brower plug in called Google Voice in order to use it on PCs. You highlight the phone number and a dialog box opens. If you have Skype, that will pop up when you click on a phone link.
More meetings have been updated on our schedule, thanks for your input!
